North London charity to provide work experience for up to 25 young people with mental and physical disabilities.

WHF is providing funds for this North London charity to provide work experience for up to 25 young people with mental and physical disabilities in the Canals and Rover Trust’s Edible Gardens. The work experience is a day a week for six to nine weeks.

AFK supports 200 young people a year to live independent and fulfilling lives. It does this through work experience, apprenticeships and supporting internships; Self-Advocacy Programmes and work with more than 30 schools, both mainstream and specialist.

The charity’s over-riding aim is to get clients to understand what they can achieve. Most have been told what they can’t do for much of their lives!
