Archway Project

Based in the Thamesmead Estate in South East London, The Archway Project was set up in 1982 to enrich the lives of young people through educational workshops and recreational activities.

The workshops allow young people to learn to maintain and ride motorcycles and mountain bikes and cook. These training programmes are approved by the Department of Education and are delivered by experienced and professionally qualified tutors, focusing on practical tasks cutting theory to a minimum.

Young people attending Archway can work towards BTEC Level one Diploma in Engineering; BTEC Jamie Oliver Home Cooking Skills and BTEC First Information & Creative Technology and BTEC Bicycle Engineering.
