Horizon Sports Club

High Wycombe based, Horizon Sports Club offers young people with disabilities across South Buckinghamshire the opportunity to enjoy sport, offering specialist coaching  with a high level of support.

Sports start with a range of ball skills sessions to help develop coordination, particularly for younger members who then move onto badminton, cricket, football, tennis and swimming.

Each young person has a volunteer coaching assistant who works alongside the Coach to support the member.

The creation of Horizon Sports Club was fuelled by the 1996 Paralympics in Atlanta, Georgia in the USA.
